GN 500GPM Mud System used in Middle East for Water Injection Well Drilling
Many customers from Middle East come to GN asking for the mud system used in water well drilling. Some of these are used for civil water wells, while some of units are used in oilfield water injection well drilling. For some oil wells with large content of natural gas in oil layer or at the later period of extraction, the oil worker always inject water into the oil well to keep a stable pressure of the oil layer to ensure a high oil production rate. One of GN’s customers from Middle East sent back the pictures of GN’s 500GPM mud system on their site. They just finished the commissioning of this unit and good remarks were given to GN. Different from the mud system for oil drilling, this water well mud system is designed compact structure so that it could be put on a trailer for easy moving from one site to another.
750HP Rig Mud System for Domestic Client
Though over 60 percent of business is coming from abroad, GN is getting the good reputation and more and more market share in domestic market. GN was founded at the beginning to manufacture the oil rig mud system; hence, a 750HP oil rig mud system will not be a difficulty to GN. This system was made in consideration to both client’s requirements and GN’s unique design features.
Configuration of Full Solids Control Stages 750HP Rig Mud System
1. This system includes all 4 stages solids control equipment, shale shaker, de-sander, de-silter and decanter centrifuge unit. 2. 2 Units Shale shaker used as the coarse solids separation equipment located on first mud tank. This type shale shaker is fixed with 3 panels screen and the mud feeding inlet on buffer box was pre-opened as per client’s site condition for easy connection. The mud tank under the shale shaker was designed as inclined tank bottom for easy tank cleaning.3. Both the de-sander and de-silter unit are equipped with under drying shaker. Comparing with the cyclone unit without drying shaker, this type mud cleaner unit could greatly reduce the loss of drilling fluids and make the discharged solids much dryer. In the meanwhile, the under shaker are 2-panel screen model GNZS752. This shaker model is much cost effective than 3-panel screen shaker, however, the performance is also good enough.
4. This 750HP rig mud system was equipped with GN economic configuration 18 inch decanter centrifuge with RPM1800. This centrifuge unit is fed by a submersible slurry pump, and mainly used for drilling fluids barite recovery.5. Total 4 units 40 feet mud tank involved in this 750HP mud system. All the solids control equipment was installed on the mud tank incompactly to give more space for operator or installation of the mud agitator.6. This mud system was equipped with an independent skid type jet mud mixer for mud mixing.

CNPC Was Satisfied with Acceptance Check on GN Mud Recycling System
This is not the first time CNPC order the solids control system from GN Company. This time the ordered items are 3 sets 500GPM mud recycling system which were successfully tested couple days before. During the later on acceptance check by personnel from the CNPC, the process was also very smooth.
The basic configuration of each mud system is as below:
1. 20 feet container shaped mud tank for drilling mud storage.2. De-sander cyclone and de-silter cyclone matching the treating capacity of 500GPM. The under drying shaker is using GN’s popular model GNZS703E that is very widely used in compact structure mud recycling system.3. Centrifugal pumps equipped as transferring machine to feed the drilling mud to the cyclone unit.
