CNPC Was Satisfied with Acceptance Check on GN Mud Recycling System
This is not the first time CNPC order the solids control system from GN Company. This time the ordered items are 3 sets 500GPM mud recycling system which were successfully tested couple days before. During the later on acceptance check by personnel from the CNPC, the process was also very smooth.
The basic configuration of each mud system is as below:
1. 20 feet container shaped mud tank for drilling mud storage.
2. De-sander cyclone and de-silter cyclone matching the treating capacity of 500GPM. The under drying shaker is using GN’s popular model GNZS703E that is very widely used in compact structure mud recycling system.
3. Centrifugal pumps equipped as transferring machine to feed the drilling mud to the cyclone unit.
The features of these mud recycling systems worthy to mention are:
1. Double layers shale shaker used to function as both coarse shaker and drying shaker.
To make the mud system more compact, the shaker of GNZS706E was applied with the bottom layer screen for primary coarse solids separation, while the upper layer screens are used for drying the solids discharged from the cyclones. This design was made with full consideration on footprint and full functions. This is always GN does to provide the best solution for clients.
2. Frame to install equipment for easy installation and transportation.
The de-sander and de-silter unit are pre-installed on a steel frame, and then put the steel frame on top of the mud tank. This design helps to save the time for client to install the shaker unit on the mud tank for every time changing work site. It could be seen as a modular package. Moreover, clients can cover the cloth outside the frame for poor weather.
