High-G drying shakers are the primary solids-control equipment used for processing water-based drilling mud. Their main function is to efficiently remove large volumes of liquid and fine solids from drill cuttings, ensuring that the drilling mud is recovered and maintained at the proper properties for reuse. By generating extremely high vibration forces, High-G shakers significantly improve the drying performance of drilled cuttings, reducing the moisture content and maximizing mud recovery.

For oil-based drilling mud, however, the most effective solution is the vertical cuttings dryer. As a key separation unit in oil-based cuttings management, the vertical cuttings dryer is specifically engineered to extract oil from the drilled solids. GN Solids Control’s GNCD930G vertical cuttings dryer is designed to achieve an Oil on Cuttings (OOC) level as low as 3%–5%, meeting stringent environmental standards while allowing valuable oil-based mud to be reclaimed and returned to the drilling system. This not only reduces waste volume and disposal cost but also significantly lowers drilling fluid consumption.

Recently, a complete package of drilling waste management equipment—including three sets of High-G drying shakers GNZS594K and two sets of vertical cuttings dryers GNCD930G—finished production and factory commissioning at the GN Solids Control manufacturing facility. After passing all performance tests and quality inspections, the equipment was prepared for shipment to a client in the Middle East.
