For more advanced separation, the drilling mud recycling system is equipped with a GNLW452 decanter centrifuge. It is a 18-inch big bowl decanter centrifuge operates at a medium speed and is specifically designed for high-gravity separation, effectively removing fine particles and enhancing the quality of the recycled mud.

In addition to the separation equipment, the system is integrated with a complete mixing system. GN 5-Layer High-frequency Fine Vibrating Screen for Domestic Lithium Ore Selection

Meanwhile, the oversized material is returned to the grinding mill and then recirculated back into the hydrocyclone, forming a complete and efficient closed-loop system. Oil Sludge Treatment Decanter Centrifuge System for South America Client

Recently, GN Solids Control successfully completed the production of an oily sludge treatment system. The system will be shipped to a South American client and used in the oilfield industry. This separation system is designed to treat oily sludge, oil base mud wastes, oil-based drilling cuttings and waste, and tank bottom oil residues.

The system includes two sets of mud tank system, the mud tanks specially equipped with heating pipelines and pipe guards to facilitate the chemical thermal washing process, which operates optimally at temperatures between 70 to 80 degrees Celsius to maintain chemical activity.

In terms of processing equipment, the primary treatment equipment consists of a double deck shale shaker. The upper coarse shale shaker screen removes large size waste materials such as plastics and rocks typically found in waste pits within oily sludge. The bottom deck shale shaker screen is used to remove specific sizes of solid waste which is determined by the screen opening. On-site, appropriate shale shaker screen opening sizes are selected based on material conditions and separation requirements. A vertical slurry pump is responsible for supplying the oil sludge and waste slurry to the double deck shale shaker.

The liquid phase separated by thedouble deck shale shaker still contains a high solids content. In this phase, a high speed decanter centrifuge plays a crucial role in removing fine particles to reduce solids content and weight. A German brand NETZSCH screw pump is employed to supply slurry to the high speed decanter centrifuge. Additionally, mud agitators are used inside the mud tanks to effectively prevent solid phase sedimentation.

This comprehensive system not only addresses the challenges of oily sludge and related waste in the oilfield industry but also incorporates advanced technologies like thermal washing and centrifugal separation to ensure efficient and effective processing.
