The GNTC-500A Trench Cutter Slurry Treatment Plant, developed by GN Solids Control, is engineered for projects where large volumes of bentonite slurry are used and require continuous cleaning and recycling. During trench cutter operations, excavated materials mix with the support slurry and are pumped to the surface. This mixture, containing soil, sand, gravel, and rock cuttings, must be treated to remove solids before the slurry can be reused in the trench.
The GNTC-500A system efficiently separates both coarse and fine solids from the returned slurry through a multi-stage purification process. Initially, large solids are removed using a coarse separation shale shaker unit, preventing damage to downstream equipment. Following this, fine solids are extracted using high-efficiency desander hydraucyclone and desilter hydrucyclone separation equipment, producing clean slurry that meets project requirements. By recycling the treated slurry, the system reduces the consumption of bentonite and water, lowers operational costs, and minimizes environmental impact.
All separation equipment and the desander, desilter feed pump, electrical controal systems and are installed on the holding tank and mud tank for compact design and turn-key solution.
