Some engineer in drilling company like put equipment in top of mud tank,this way is easy to manage drilling fluid,and transfer will be easy,some big drilling work will choose this way,and the feeding pump install at side of tank,the whole system is more compact
In some mud service company,engineer need more useful volume for drilling fluid,solids control equipment and mud storage are separated;also it won’t need much equipment,the owner will install equipment in the skid,make concrete plinths in bottom,this way is easy to check equipment’s work state,better for maintenance,and can change pipe design,fit different request,in most LMP,they choose this solution,the skid can’t move,but easy to manage
For some small project,equipment not much,and drilling fluid request not high,the worker will put most equipment at land,and some important equipment will install in one small tank,the system will separated like different modular,can fit different kind drilling work,no need much equipment
When compare produce cost,mud tank will be expensive for shipment,some client will choose to build it at local,GN will support give advice by design or drawing,the skid price is not that high,but it not good for move some time,most time just mud service company will choose it,maybe they will need telescopic,GN have this design;some HDD drilling client,prefer package equipment tank,and other equipment separate,to save unnecessary cost,GN did it too,because we have a experience engineer team,to give best support for client
