GN VERTI-G Cutting Dryer
The flow of cuttings into the VERTI-G Cutting Dryer centrifuge is PLC-controlled and continuously fed to yield optimum liquids/ solids separation. Once cuttings are introduced into the dryer’s charge hopper, widely spaced, independently adjustable flights continuously direct cuttings to the screen surface. Flights are tungsten carbide coated to reduce wear and ensure optimum tolerance.
Solids are discharged at the screen bottom and fall by gravity into the water-flushed cuttings trough and shunted overboard or collected for onshore disposal. Processed liquids pass through the screen and then exit through one of two effluent openings. The fluid is collected and pumped to the M-I SWACO decanting centrifuge for final processing and reuse in the active mud system.
In addition to helping operators around the world meet environmental demands, the VERTI-G cuttings dryer improves overall cost-efficiency. GN VERTI-G Cuttings Dryer
The GN Vertical Cutting Dryer uses centrifugal force to dry drilled solids in oil or synthetic base fluids. A stainless steel screen bowl traps “wet” solids and accelerates them up 900RPM. Liquid is forced through the screen bowl openings, while “dry” solids are extracted by the angled flights attached to the cone, which rotate slightly slower than the bowl. Tungsten carbide protects the flights from abrasive solids and ensures long operational life. This aids in maintaining a constant gap between the scroll and screen bowl, which is crucial for proper operation.

Drilling waste management options can be roughly grouped into three categories: offshore discharge, re-injection on-site, and onshore disposal. All three groups of waste management options come with their own set of advantages and limitations. A deeper understanding of the specifics of each technology is required for key stakeholders to make the best decisions in the regulatory process.
Offshore Discharge: Offshore discharge is in most cases the least expensive and operationally uncomplicated, of the three options. In evaluating the viability of this option, one must consider whether the fluid can meet regulatory requirements for discharge, the technical drilling requirements, and the potential environmental impact.
Onshore Disposal: If drilling wastes are not handled onsite either via discharge or CRI, they will need to be transported to shore for disposal. Consideration of any onshore disposal option must also include consideration of the offshore operations and transport associated with getting the drilling waste to shore. There are a number of environmental, operational, and economic disadvantages to the selection of onshore disposal. These operations require extensive use of support vessels to take the cuttings to a shore location.

WeatherFord ordered serval mixing tanks from a Singapore tank manufacturer, and they cooperate with us for a whole solution, as we can supply offshore mud agitators, mud guns, hoppers and so on.
They ordered all the offshore mud agitators and other equipment from us, as they only manufacture the tank, now all the goods already shiped to Singapore.
As when proceed the order, the Spring Festival is coming, and it takes some problem for the delivery time, but finally, get it done in time.

GNPS 703 is a popular shale shaker made by GN Solids Control. It is 4th generation BEM(balanced elliptical motion) shale shaker, and the feedback is very good.
GNPS703 shale shaker can fix different meshes screen. This equipment can use 10-200mesh screen. Usually, when the shale shaker is first stage solids control equipment the shaker screen can be 30-100mesh. When the shale shaker is a part of mud cleaner, the screen can be 80-200mesh.

Replace shaker screen process
To make screen installation and uninstall more easy, GNPS703 designed fast installation structure. The structure is a special type use tension wedge to fix screen. Refer to fig IV. The structure including shelve strip, wedge. The first screen installation, we should inspect the screen dimension, such as 1250±2mm, the tolerance can’t over it. After fixed rubber strip, then put screen, shelve strip from shaker back (drilling fluid input), and push wedge evenly on two sides use hammer to push or tension wedges, make two sides identical. Tension each screens subsequently.

Who need a cleaning system?
Any Directional Drilling contractor using boring machines with pumping capacities of 25 GPM or larger regardless of soil type or conditions. Contractors typically making bores larger than 6-1/2” Diameter and more than 200 feet long.

Normally pumping higher volumes of fluid also provides an adequate presence of bentonite to repair filter cake as it is being scarred by rotating drill pipe. Keeping the filter cake in good shape will reduce chances of formation swelling while drilling in clay or shale thus reducing the chances of getting stuck.
