For drying the drilling cuttings discharged from the drilling rig solids control equipment,there are always two options.One is to use the Linear Motion G force High G shale shaker, the other way is to use the vertical G cuttings dryer.

Vertical Cuttings Dryer

GN Solids Control just sold a drilling cuttings drying system with both Vertical G and Linear G force.The cuttings drying system includes following main equipments:

1) Vertical G Cuttings Dryer with speed up to 900 RPM and G force up to 420 centrifugal G force.
2) Linear Motion High G Drying Shale Shaker GNZS594HGE-LD, with vibration G force to 8.0.
3) Two Foot size Mud Tanks and tank attachments.
4) Feed pump for shale shaker and flushing pump for vertical cuttings dryer.

Drying Shaker System
The Dual G force Cuttings Dryer system have two ways for operation.

 

The First way of operation process: Drilling cuttings transfered by screw conveyor system under the shale shaker/mud cleaner, and a second screw conveyor system feed to Vertical G cuttings dryer. After drying by the cuttings dryer, the liquid with solids will enter  to the High G force drying shaker for separation solids from the fluids.

Vertical Cuttings Dryer System

Second way of operation process: If client want to stop the Vertical G Dryer or the Vertical G Dryer shut down for maintainence, the drilling cuttings will be transfered to the Linear High G force drying shaker for treatment.

In both way, the fluids with fine solids need to be treated by the decanter centrifuge to clean the drilling fluids for reuse.

This client will use the cuttings dryer system for Shell Project in Sichuan China, which have known to be one of largest shale gas rerservation area in the world.
