GN Solids Control has recently completed the manufacturing of a compact mud drilling mud solids control system and a skid-mounted drilling cuttings management system for a prominent Chinese company. These systems are scheduled to be shipped to the customer's rig site in the near future.

1.GN Drilling Mud Solids Control System:
The drilling mud solids control system consists of two primary modules: the shaker tank module and the decanter centrifuge module. The shaker tank module incorporates a three-panel shale shaker and a desilter unit, which can also function as a shale shaker when the butterfly valves are engaged. The GN desilter unit is fed by a submersible pump after the drilling mud has been processed by the shale shaker. Additionally, another submersible pump is installed on the desilter tank to supply the 18-inch bowl decanter centrifuge in the decanter centrifuge module.
Typically, the shaker module efficiently removes all solids larger than 25 microns, while the decanter centrifuge module is employed to eliminate solids in the range of 5 to 10 microns. The GN 18-inch bowl decanter centrifuge operates at a moderate rotational speed, enabling the recovery of valuable barite from the drilling mud. Furthermore, a jet mud mixer is connected to the decanter centrifuge tank, facilitating the addition of new drilling mud chemicals to prepare fresh drilling mud. All solids discharged from the shaker, desilter, and decanter centrifuge are collected by a single screw conveyor and transported to designated locations.

2.GN Drilling Cuttings Management System:
The GN Drilling Cuttings Waste Management System comprises a cuttings dryer and a decanter centrifuge. After passing through the shale shaker, the drilling cuttings are fed into the GN Cuttings Dryer, which effectively recovers oil from oil-based mud (OBM) or synthetic-based mud (SBM). The oil content on the cuttings can be reduced from 20% to less than 5% using this dryer.
Subsequently, a 14-inch bowl decanter centrifuge is employed to further clarify the drilling mud, rendering it suitable for reuse in the drilling rig.
