GNTBM-500B Slurry Separation Plant for Middle East TBM Project
GN Solids Control is pleased to announce the successful delivery of a GNTBM-500B Slurry Separation Plant to a major tunneling project in the Middle East. This advanced system is specifically engineered for slurry balance tunnel boring machines (TBMs) and pipe jacking operations, where efficient and reliable slurry management is critical to project success.
The GNTBM-500B is designed to deliver a robust processing capacity of 500 cubic meters per hour (2200 GPM) , ensuring continuous and effective treatment of excavated slurry. This high-throughput capability makes it an ideal solution for medium to large-scale tunneling projects requiring consistent separation performance.

Comprehensive Multi-Stage Separation Process
The GNTBM-500B incorporates a complete multi-stage separation system to ensure thorough slurry purification. The integrated treatment train includes:
Vibrating Screens (Shale Shakers) – The primary stage removes coarse particles and large debris from the incoming slurry. The system is equipped with high-efficiency vibrating screens featuring enhanced vibration force to maximize solid-liquid separation.
Desander Unit – The second stage eliminates medium-sized sand particles, protecting downstream equipment from abrasive wear.
Desilter Unit – The third stage achieves fine solids removal, delivering clean slurry ready for recirculation back to the TBM.
Decanter Centrifuge (Optional) – For projects requiring advanced dewatering or removal of ultra-fine particles, GN provides decanter centrifuges in combination with chemical dosing units. When aged or waste slurry needs to be discharged or requires removal of extremely fine particles, GN's large-bowl decanter centrifuge can be deployed with flocculants from the chemical dosing system to dewater the slurry, discharging clean water that can be reused or returned to the system.

This allows for a smaller footprint, faster assembly and disassembly, and easier transportation between job sites.
