How to Understand the Model of GN Decanter Centrifuge

The model of the centrifuge is GNLW363CG-VFD. Editor thought it would be necessary to explain what the model number means to help clients’ understanding and better choosing on GN decanter centrifuge. LW in Chinese means horizontal spiral type centrifuge that is typically used in oil industry. C tells the third generation of GN centrifuge shows in the past nearly 10 years, GN was always keeping on upgrading and improvement. The G means this model is a high configuration with bowl material of duplex stainless steel 2205 which is much better than
other China based manufacturer who still use SS304. Inside the bowl, screw propeller are made of SS316 and protected by 4mm thick tungsten carbide tiles. Comparing with other China manufactures’ spray welding 2mm protection, GN’s screw propeller has much longer lifetime that would greatly reduce the future maintenance cost. For more flexible operation purpose, the client chose the variable frequency drive for different working speed.

What Certificate GN has on providing the Equipment

Clients in Europe are cautious to getting machinery from China manufacturer, as many certificated would be requested by the safety department when running the machine. In order to eliminate the client’s worry, GN provided the decanter centrifuge with Europe certificate of comply. All the electric motors and VFD control panel are provided with ATEX certificate. DNV is also requested very commonly by clients from Europe.

GN decanter centrifuge is gradually accepted by the clients from high standard market with strict request. All the certificates obtained well proved this. Actually, GN now has one unit solids removing unit working in London including both decanter centrifuge and shale shaker unit.
