About API

The development of consensus standards is one of API’s oldest and most successful programs. Beginning with its first standards in 1924, API now maintains some 500 standards covering all segments of the oil and gas industry. Today, the API standards program has gone global, through active involvement with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and other international bodies.

API is an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredited standards developing organization, operating with approved standards development procedures and undergoing regular audits of its processes.  API produces standards, recommended practices, specifications, codes and technical publications, reports and studies that cover each segment of the industry. API standards promote the use of safe, interchangeable equipment and operations through the use of proven, sound engineering practices as well as help reduce regulatory compliance costs, and in conjunction with API’s Quality Programs, many of these standards form the basis of API certification programs.

For the Solids Control Equipment of Oil & Gas Drilling,there are only recommended rules for it.That’s why GN applied for API Q1 Management system.

For Shale Shaker Screens there  is API RP 13C (ISO 13501)?

• A new physical testing and labeling procedure for shaker screens. To be API RP 13C compliant, a screen must be tested and labeled in accordance with the new recommended practice.
• Two tests were devised: cut point and conductance. The tests describe a screen without predicting its performance and can be performed anywhere in the world.
• After identifying the cut point and conductance, complying with API RP 13C requires application of a permanent tag or label to the screen in a position that will be both visible and legible. Both cut point expressed as an API number and conductance shown in kD/mm are required on the screen label.
• Internationally, API RP 13C is ISO 13501.
• The new procedure is a revision of the previous API RP 13E, which was based on optical measurements of the screen opening using a microscope and computer analysis. Under API RP 13E, screen designations were based on individual manufacturer test methods, producing inconsistent labeling.

Their raw material is bentonite with solids particle size range from 3-50 Microns,the want to separate the particles size large then 5 microns with bentonite cleaning machinery.

A mud tank with dimensions:6500Lx2200Wx3584H,mounted with first bentonite cleaning equipment:4inch desilter,with 3 desilters for first phase separation for particles between:15microns to 50 microns.

The first 7.5 Kw Horizontal centrifugal pump is for feeding to desilter.And in the second department,add chemical fluids for flocculation.With the agitator on it for mixing.Then pump by the second pump to feed to 2rd phase bentonite cleaning by decanter centrifuge for particles larger then 3-5 microns.

The above bentonite mud cleaning system is customized for the Russian clients.We also offer other bentonite cleaning machinery for larger particles,like desander,shale shaker etc.
